Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Another well-rounded Pauillac: energetic and mouth-filling with the unmistakable smoothness of first-class Merlot grapes and perfectly extracted tannins. More bang for the buck than the Carruades de Lafite. Warmly recommended. 17
Michael Schuster: Freshly sweet blackcurrant Cabernet, subtly minerally; well balanced, nicely concentrated in a firm, linear style, with fresh acidity and firm tannin; a rich core of fine, ripe Cabernet fruit; long, sweet, sapid, and lively within its overall taut style, and with warm, spicy length. Very satisfying, but will probably need a decade in bottle. 2018–30. 16/16.5
