Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Ample, deep, brooding fruits, with the promise of spice, and with woven complexities already lurking behind the fruits; lots of understated Pessac classicism here. Plenty of overall freshness, too. Very exciting on the palate, with ample gathered fresh and seamless, invigorating classicism. Of course it is a midweight, and if you are longing for Right-Bank sensuality or Left-Bank authority it comes down firmly on neither side; but as (one hopes) a well- priced prospect with ample ageing potential and classic claret poise and digestibility, it would be hard to beat. | 90
Michael Schuster | Dark; a fine, freshly ripe nose, faintly gravelly, still quite closed though; medium-full, fresh, and finely tannic, withatouch of oak-texture dryness perceptible; a nice depth of flavor here, ripe, fragrant, moderately complex, a little oak-dry for now, but with good fruit length. 2024–34+. | 89
