BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook | There’s rich apricot fruit on the nose, and the oak is well-integrated, giving polish to the aromas. The attack is vivid and bright, leading to a very concentrated palate. There’s an immediacy here, almost an assault on the palate, and the oak is quite prominent, but there’s nothing clumsy about the wine which has admirable drive and energy. A classic Coutet, harmonious, polished, and exciting. Very long. | 96

Andrew Jefford | This is a bright butter-gold already, and suggests development is well underway. Vanilla, lemon, orange peel, and citrus blossom: plenty of charm here, expressed with great directness and purity. Fresh and lively. Vivid and long on the palate, with bright acidity and ample fruit-skin tang: lifted, graceful, and dancing Barsac. | 92
