Stephen Brook | There are formidable peachy aromas on the nose, which has force and aromatic punch. Production of the Sauternes has been much reduced at this estate, one of the aims being to enhance the quality of the grand vin. The strategy here is successful, with a beguiling creaminess and concentration, a discreet use of oak, and some complexity from botrytis. A wine of volume as well as persistence. | 95
Andrew Jefford | Bright pale gold. Rather restrained and soft-contoured for the time being, without much aromatic precision, though the overall gentle sweet drift of the aromatic profile is appealing. A touch of meadowflower brings some lift. On the palate, the exciting potential of this wine is quickly evident in a way that it wasn’t (as yet—just wait) on the aromas: this is dense, glycerous and tight- sewn, with disarmingly lovely buttered lemon flavors and great inner poise and wealth. A superb effort with a fine future ahead. | 93
