Michael Schuster | Dense Cabernet blackcurrant, allied to a marked Merlot blueberry character, all with a gentle gravel backdrop as well; full-bodied, nicely concentrated, fresh in acidity, finely tannic in texture, a lovely overall balance; sweet and juicy, with a gentle complexity across the palate, and lovely, crisply fruity persistence. A very good, without being a grand, or top-notch, Pagodes. This, like the Goulée, but at a higher level, will be fine, mid-rank, beverage claret in a few years. 2025–35+.
