Michael Schuster | A fine, subtly blackcurrant cassis-ripe nose; nicely balanced, medium-full, moderately concentrated wine, fresh in acidity, finely dry in tannin; a crisply ripe fruit to taste, subtle and refreshing, with a Margauxesque purity, a little marked by its dry oak-tannin, but overall fragrant and with a very nice persistence. Stylish Cantemerle, needing a bit of time to absorb its new wood. 2030–45+.
