Just a little tobacco evolution here, but still largely primary and youthful. A bit obvious, however. Lush, chunky, sweet, and generous on the palate. Plenty to enjoy here: big ripe fruit, oak, ample tannins. | 88

Anthony Rose | Youthful mid-ruby hue; a hint of sweet prune behind spicy oak, suggesting a very ripe style. The palate, too, is rich and ripe, quite powerful, the tannins encasing the fruit in a prison of chewiness and, overall, suggesting that with this level of ripeness and power (what did you say the alcohol was again?), the fruit may not outlast the structure. | 86
