Simon Field | Dense color, a gentle confident shimmer; the nose sings an ode to primary fruit, with figs and chocolate in the background. Thereafter, the palate is open, feminine almost, charmingly pure and untrammeled. Lean acidity follows to underscore a deceptively concentrated structure; everything is in place and the denouement is rigorous, intense, and most satisfying. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Clear black-red. Fragrant, fresh, lifted, and beguiling: plum, cherry, and tea come together in an exceptionally seductive blend. Very polished and refined. Soft, graceful, elegant, seamless, and lifted on the palate, singing with sweet plum and cherry, lifted by tenderly fruited acidity and backed by svelte tannins. Another exceptionally impressive Priorat Garnacha in the light, quasi- Burgundian style. This is a little more precise and focused than the [Alvaro Palacios L’Ermita Velles Vinyes Gratallops Priorat], but [the L’Ermita] has more volume, wealth, and exuberance. Very hard to call them when it comes to a score; both are outstanding. | 92
David Williams | Husky red fruit with the merest hint of astringency: just-ripe red cherry and damson; a warm, earthy core; surprising agility again: plenty of power—you can feel the sun, and there’s no sense of any ripeness lacking. But still, no excess here. Extraordinarily evocative of its origins. | 92
