BUY THE WINE

Neil Beckett | Although this village lieu-dit is on the lower slopes, the alluvial fan from the Combe de Lavaux means it is actually on very poor, thin soils, with naturally low yields, so the potential is far higher than might be expected; and biodynamic cultivation, then meticulous vinification (50% whole-bunch fermentation, no pigeage, only gentle remontage) have fully realized it. Still restrained on the nose, but the freshness and finesse are clear, as they are on the palate, which has the exquisite refinement of a good Chambolle, and sumptuous tannins. | 93–94
