Neil Beckett | The organic village wines from Chorey, Savigny, Pommard, and Volnay are all compelling, but this organic vieilles vignes Beaune cuvée, from vines planted in the late 1940s, has an added dimension in terms of depth and volume. Deep ruby, luminous. A reassuring light whiff of SO2, the wine having been bottled the day before I tasted it in November, but this did not detract at all from its gloriously creamy texture; remarkable harmony, integrity, succulence, and volume for the level, and a persuasive reminder of how good Beaune can be. | 90
