Bruno Besa | Straw to golden. Open, ripe citrus-fruits nose, with intense yellow-flower character, orange blossom, minerals, and fresh herbs. Full, rich palate, with layered citrus fruit and a long, clean finish. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Full, developed light gold. Given that it has a deeper color, it almost seems surprising that this wine is more aromatically restrained than [the Vigneti Massa Derthona Timorasso 2016]: leafy, full, subtle, and understated, with mint and verbana complexities. Vivid and lively on the palate, with a complex, seamless, harmonious palate which mingles fruit, nuts, leaf, and herbal notes; it’s just a little bit less resonant, fresh, and articulate than [the Vigneti Massa Derthona Timorasso 2016], with a slightly dryer, tarter finish. Very good nonetheless. | 91
Michael Palij | What it is to be omnipotent! Here we really have redefined greatness in Italian white wine, with a finish and level of balance that I’d struggle to find outside Burgundy’s grand cru vineyards. The length is exceptional and the harmony that exists within the components of this white is astonishing. This is hors combat. Age for a decade at least. Monumental. | 98
