Bruno Besa | Golden to straw. Open, slightly overripe nose, with lemons, hay, cooked apples, herbs, and nuts. Mature palate, with layered fruit and a fairly long finish. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Full mid-gold. Subtle, complex, and close- grained: talc and lanolin, with pounded nuts, marzipan, quiet pomegranate, and persimmon. Intriguing aromatics here: seamless and seductive, which is impressive as “seduction” isn’t a classic Timorasso trait. Full, mouthfilling, vigorous, deep, searching, and structured: an outstanding effort, which not only fills the mouth but which also has ample textural wealth and much finer fruit definition and depth than many of its peers. Deep, long, and resonant: very fine. | 94
Michael Palij | The nose of this wine shows mineral oil, wax, kerosene, and other tertiary character that suggests this has spent longer than may perhaps have been strictly necessary on the lees and/ or skins. The palate is rich but spiky, with the phenolic notes dominating proceedings. | 85
