Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red in color. Warm, spicy, and rounded in aroma: cinnamon, cedar, and dried mushroom help fill out the black cherry, plum, and currant. This straightforward, uncomplicated charm is hard to resist. On the palate, this is a lively, vivid, well-rounded wine, with soft tannins and bright, acid-structured, articulate fruits. Once again, it has ample charm and clarity in friendly and accessible style, though it won’t be the longest-lived Lynch-Bages in the cellar. | 91
Michael Schuster | Ripe cassis fruit and clear gravel aromas on the nose; Pauillac muscularity and a brisk acidity, overall a somewhat austere Pauillac constitution, with a moderate fruit behind the firm tannic structure. Likely to be pleasing in the long term but seems a bit disappointing for its normally classy performance currently. 2027–40+. | 90?
