Andrew Jefford | Deep, almost opaque dark black-red; certainly the darkest of its six-wine St-Julien flight. Admirable fruited ripeness and lift here, with a sense of roasted fullness and savory warmth that is all too rare this year. A very attractive 2015 St-Julien profile. The wine is concentrated and mouth-filling on the palate, with more depth and density than many of its peers. The tannins are almost firm, and the acidity is held a little more in check here than elsewhere; there’s an exuberance to the fruit, and an energy to its drive. Stylish, and with better longevity potential than many. | 91
Michael Schuster | A fine, minerally nose, still very closed; elegantly balanced, fresh, fairly concentrated wine, with a very finely textured tannin; deep, long, and savory, elegant, refined, complete, and persistent, a very fine St–Julien. This will need time but be most rewarding. 2027–40+. | 92+
