Andrew Jefford | Very dark black-red. There’s plenty of oak here but it fills out blackcurrant fruits of evident ripeness and charm, and the result is still classically Médocain rather than “New Worldly”; just a little broader-shouldered than some of its peers. Café crème. All of that is exactly what the palate delivers, and I like the friendly style; it will last longer than many Northern Médocs. | 89
Michael Schuster | A gentle, cedary nose; a very elegantly balanced medium-full wine, with a fine-textured tannin; rich in flavor, without being strong; sweet, refined, aromatic, and complex; long, subtle, and graceful across the palate, gently mouth-coating, classy wine with great aromatic length. A beautiful, complete, archetypal Margaux, a touch marked by its new wood at the moment but which, in due course, will give enormous pleasure across several decades. 2027–40+. | 95
