Andrew Jefford | Dark, somber black-red. Notably different from the Northern Médoc and Listrac/Moulis wines with which this is flighted, this has sweet, fresh, almost creamy blackcurrant scents; light, graceful, and elegant. That is very much what this concentrated, pure-fruited, generous La Lagune delivers: a shimmeringly fruited classicism. Tapered blackcurrant from top to toe: delicious. | 90
Michael Schuster | Dense and black-fruit fragrant, a great promise of finesse in the bouquet; full, fresh, elegant, a nice concentration, a firm tannin; sweetly but freshly ripe, a velveteen textured core, long and subtle across the palate, graceful, Margauxesque wine, with fine, subtly fruit-cored length. Lovely, rather than grand, La Lagune. This will give a lot of pleasure over many years. Complete, harmonious, rewarding wine. 2024–40+. | 93
