Stephen Brook | Although it’s always a classic rather than a flashy Sauternes, this does seem unusually shy on the nose. The palate is another matter, cloaked in velvet and very concentrated. It’s sumptuous without ostentation, while still being fatter than this wine used to be before the property changed hands. It may not be that structured, but the fruit is immaculate and far from overblown. Quite long, with a delicate finish. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Pale to mid-gold in color, with ample, rich, sweet warmth: straw-wrapped peaches and apricots slowly seeping their juices. There are hints of more exotic fruits, too: pineapple and banana. Enticing complexities. On the palate, this is generous and full, with a lower acid balance than some but with haunting fruit flavors and aromas resumed from the aromatic profile, all of which brings its own balance. | 90
