Stephen Brook | This unclassified growth has slipped into this range of crus classes, but rightly so. There’s lavish but not vulgar botrytis on the nose, which shows bright apricot fruit and lovely poise. It’s broad-shouldered and very concentrated, but it also has limpidity and freshness. It’s not nuanced at present, but the fine acidity and balance will keep it going for a very long time. | 93
Andrew Jefford | One of the very deepest colored of all of the Sauternes in the tasting, and with rich, truffley, honeyed, white-chocolate aromas of great appeal. Tangerine, too. Grandiose in the mouth: hugely sweet and generous, lush and long. There is more acidity than for many here, but that acidity is very rounded and almost liquorous in itself, and further balancing of this huge sweetness comes from the oak and the botrytis notes. Caramel, mushroom, and truffle, right to the finish. | 95
