Stephen Brook | There’s finesse on the nose, with its ripe citrus and apple aromas. The attack shows explosive fruit and fine concentration. This is about power and weight rather than nuance and complexity, but there’s ample energy and drive. Juicy but succulent, with good depth of flavor and a vibrant finish. Balanced and long. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Silver-gold in color. Fresh and lively, pure and fine, sculpted, with lots of green fruits and holly-leaf charm. After five minutes in the glass, some hyacinth-bulb heaviness begins to creep into the picture. Vivid, fresh, and lively on the palate, with ample plant, leaf, and bulb-like overtones; ample green-apple fruit, too, though not a lot of stoniness. Characterful and enjoyable wine. | 88
Stephan Reinhardt | Floral and very delicate on the intense and aromatic, very precise and elegant nose, this is a full-bodied but crunchy, elegant, and refined Sancerre, with great finesse and purity and the soul—if you’ll forgive the allusion—of a Mosel Riesling from Traben-Trabach. This is one of the most elegant and finessed Sancerres of this tasting. Fabulous. | 94
