Alison Buchanan: Yellow–gold with flashes of green, this presents a rather wet woolly nose allied to a diffuse mélange of tropical and orchard fruit with a load of crushed stones, to boot. Rather confused on the nose, it nonetheless is intriguing and this is borne out on the palate, which is both lithe and seductive, opulent and fresh. Rich and leesy, it nonetheless maintains poise and direction throughout and has a certain elegance. 16
Alex Hunt: Broad, powerful aroma; concentrated, still relatively unformed palate. Mineral–driven without being austere or earthy. Some aging potential, I suspect. Impressive, inimitable stuff. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Full green–gold. The recurrent oniony reduction evident here. It clears, but experience already suggests that nothing very beautiful will follow. Clean and incisive, but with some glycerol and substance, too. The lineaments of a good wine, but the rather coarse handling has betrayed what were probably quite good raw ingredients. With better handling the concentration suggests this should have scored 14+. 11
