Andrew Jefford: Bright, light, and clear red; paler than most of its vintage peers. It’s not unpleasant, but the nose is certainly grassy; this is how I remember Sancerre Rouge in the past. Light and grassy on the palate, too. Drinkable, and some may love this style, but I think the game has moved on. | 82

Jasper Morris: This 2015 has a noticeably paler color, but it is still bright and lively. Doubtless dealer’s (winemaker’s) choice. Some fresh-cherry notes, fair acidity, perhaps just a little bit lacking in fruit. Though it is not drying out, I think the virtues of this wine may have shown better earlier in its life. | 86

Catherine Petrie: Noticeably pale. An intriguing nose of brine and seashell sets it apart, too. This is a lean, prickly style of Pinot, possibly verging on the unripe or overcropped. Nevertheless, it is not unpleasant, and offers the drinker a simple, light-weight, easy-going red suitable as an aperitif. | 86
