Essi Avellan | The oxidative aromas are much less prominent than in the two driest versions. Some of the lack of freshness of the fruit is masked. A nice balance of sugar and acidity on the palate. Long, succulent finish. | 92

Simon Field | An attractive nose; vanillin, praline, and summer flowers; bitter almonds and a hint of violet in support. A faint touch of oxidation challenges the authority of the ensemble and the finish, despite its power, lacks a little long-term credibility. | 89

Tom Stevenson | A lovely, toasty-mellow fruit nose and palate, with a silky mousse. A nicely refined Champagne. | 96
