Bruno Besa | Deep garnet to tawny. Mature nose, a touch closed, ripe small red and black fruits, with prunes, smoke, cigar box, and road tar. Medium to full body, slightly overripe on the palate, with black fruits and a moderate yet clean finish. | 90
Stephen Brook | The nose is very ripe, with a distinct sucrosity but fortunately no jamminess. It offers pure cherry fruit rather than floral aromas. The palate is fleshy and succulent but has good concentration and acidity. The ripeness seems to rob the wine of some bite and energy, but it’s amply fruity and direct. It’s solid but one-dimensional and lacks piquancy, and it remains to be seen whether it will acquire more nuance with aging. Long chewy finish. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Clear though deep-hued garnet red. Warm, sweet, comforting, beautifully aged aromas: classic savory fruits given a lift of age and a kind of sublimity of age, too. Truly enticing—and ready. The palate is sound, bright, and full, with plenty of red-fruit depths and shaping tannins. Generous, sound, long, and very carefully vinified. 2018–24. | 89
