Stephen Brook | This was always among the most refined of Sauternes, so it has been interesting to see whether a change in ownership would result in a change in style. Apparently not. The nose has a more smoky character, perhaps from oak, than before, but it still shows pure apricot and pineapple fruit and seductive elegance. A vivid freshness on the attack, which is racy and limpid as is the fruit character. Sleekly textured, this has drive and purity more reminiscent of Barsac than Bommes. Impeccably balanced and very long. | 95
Andrew Jefford | Deep gold. A very fine scent: rich, unctuous and blossomy, with buttered-honey richness and lanolin softness behind. The scent of sweet baked desserts in the oven, too. In the mouth, it is bright, intense, energetic, and highly allusive; all those bakery notes of the aromas are there, but so are vivid fruits and spices. A Sauternes of perfectly poised richness and freshness, and with fine concentration, too. 2018–28. | 93
