Michael Schuster | From Goulée’s “white” terroir, 6ha (15 acres) where 25-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vines were top-grafted with white varietals and where the proximity to the estuary helps cool the vineyard. Intense and concentrated to smell, a very ripe but very refined and restrained citrus and melon Sauvignon Blanc; concentrated, vital, harmonious, a beautiful complete balance; dry, lively, sapid, complex, great tenacity of flavor, gently spicy from the wood, mouth-coating, really tempting to linger and explore, with splendid aromatic and citrus-fruit length to finish. Fine premier cru white Burgundy in scope. 2020–30+. | 92–94
