BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Deep ruby to garnet. Clean, red- and black- fruit driven, mature yet elegant nose, with intense floral undertones. Full body, with big, refined tannins, long and clean red- and black-fruit finish. Needs time to show most of its depth and complexity. | 93

Stephen Brook | Reticent nose, with some darker cherry fruit, still brooding. Sleek attack, with considerable density of fruit. That fruit is holding back, and the tannins, undoubtedly ripe, are to the fore. Not harmonious or fully expressive, but there’s clearly good potential here and ample structure. But those tannins need a while longer to infuse and settle. | 91

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear red. Warm, refined fruit and some fascinating porcini-like complexities: the forest floor on a warm autumn day. Mellow and enticing. Exuberant and juicy on the palate, with firm tannins behind to keep everything on track. Perhaps a little less aromatic complexity just yet on the palate than on the nose, but that bodes well for this wine’s bottle development. Tarry finish. Very complete and concentrated. | 92
