BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Intense and mineral, with chalk, smoke, leather, wild red berries, and hints of petrol. Compact palate, super-complex sweet cherry and cranberry fruit. Long, mineral, clean finish. Great Nebbiolo, classic Serralunga. | 96

Stephen Brook | Deep color for Nebbiolo. Ripe but subdued nose, showing solid raspberry fruit. Good attack, concentrated and almost severe. Assertive tannins here, but the fruit clings on. Has the Serralunga grip and force, but not too extracted. Long finish, but needs time to become more open and expressive. | 90

Andrew Jefford | Clear, bright mid-red. Strange scents of preserved lemon juice and a cereal warmth. Rather odd on the palate, too, lacking freshness, poise, and precision. Generous tannins, anyway. | 80
