Bruno Besa | Deep garnet to pink. A touch closed, red and black fruits, smoke and earthy nose. Compact and muscular full-bodied palate, youthful, clean small black fruits and a long, refined finish. Needs time to show its best. | 94
Stephen Brook | Deep color. Cooked tones on the nose, which has fruit but lacks freshness. Plump and rounded but quite low in acidity, so lacks some drive and tension. The tannins are quite chewy but don’t yet seem integrated. There’s an overall lack of freshness and zest here. | 86
Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red. Slightly muddled sweet fruits, almost with a whiff of jam to them. There is, though, also an attractive stony woodland freshness beneath. Very sturdy and stout-hearted on the palate, but too straightforward and foursquare for the highest scores. Amply satisfying to drink. | 85
