Bruno Besa | Deep garnet to tawny. Open, mineral nose with smoke, fresh herbs, and small red fruits; clean, with an intense floral character. Medium body, a lively and inviting palate, with sweet fruit and clean, complex, small-red-and-black-fruit finish. A very well-made, inviting wine that should develop gracefully for years to come. | 92
Stephen Brook | Delicate red-fruits nose, with a filigree charm. Plump and rounded on the attack, with juicy up-front fruit, but there’s tannic backbone, too, which adds bite and chewiness to the mid-palate. I don’t sense much nuance yet, but there’s plenty of primary fruit to enjoy. The solidity is welcome and the sense that there is more to unfurl with bottle age. There’s a bright, chewy finish and considerable persistence. | 89
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep red. A more energetic, primary, and forceful nose than many of its peers, with palpable sweetness. Richly constituted and sinewy, with plenty of thrust and shake; thicker tannins than many; some licorice root and incense spice to finish. Generously constituted and, for me, a success. | 93
