BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Fairly intense, herbal nose with small red fruits and touches of vanilla and red flowers. Medium body, clean and rich middle palate with great mineral finish. | 90

Stephen Brook | Juicy, savory nose, cherries, blackcurrants. Quite broad and fleshy—a robust style for La Morra, with firm tannins and a good deal of alcohol. The tannins add texture and grain and complexity to what might otherwise seem a chewy wine lacking in nuance. Quite long, with a hint of tar on the finish. | 90

Andrew Jefford | Deeply colored but translucent. Lots of fruited excitement here: plum, cherry, red apple. Lacks a little finesse and lift but compensates with exuberant fruited generosity. On the palate, much as the nose suggested: sound, full, fruity, frank, and friendly, with ample ripeness and delicious, smoothly milled balancing tannins. The acidity is round-contoured and ripe. | 90
