Nicolas Belfrage: Deepish color. Spicy herby nose. Very rich mix of fruit, tannin, and acidity, adding up to a wine that seems more for impressing than for pleasing. This has power but lacks charm- 15.:

Bruno Besa: - 16.5:

Jancis Robinson: Very dark, concentrated blackish ruby. Nervy, intense, and unexpectedly smooth. Another winemaker’s Barolo in which dry tannins show up only after a massive fruity palate impact. Pretty smart stuff! Dry and quite exciting on the finish. One of the more emphatic wines in this collection but well made. Just a bit sweet and loose on the finish. Drink 2015–25- 16 :
