BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Deep garnet to tawny. A slightly farmyardy nose, with mature plum and prune. A little unbalanced on the palate, with prominent acidity, good tannins, and a sweet red-fruit finish. | 86

Stephen Brook | Subdued sour-cherry nose. Rich on the attack, with good weight of fruit and plenty of spice and vigor. This has the energy that some of these wines conspicuously lack. The fruit is rounded and seductive and the structure discreet. There’s ripe acidity and good balance overall. A quite long and lightly chewy finish. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Deep, clear-hued red in color. Red fruits and a savory grilled-bacon note, too, with plant spices. Deep, vivid, firm, and balanced within the vintage’s generally rather edgy style (not too much edginess here). Bright red raspberry, cherry, and plum notes drive a mid-length finish; fine-grained tannins. Works well. | 91
