Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. Closed, herbal nose, with violets and road tar and small red and black fruits. Medium to full body, with a balanced palate, fine tannins, and sweet fruit; a long yet slightly aggressive finish. It may just need few years in the bottle! | 89
Stephen Brook | Sweet, almost jammy nose, with raspberry- coulis aromas. Rich and forthright attack, with firm tannins and rather searing acidity. There’s a bit of heat here, probably from alcohol, and a savory character on the finish. Certainly concentrated and structured, with considerable pungency. Walks on the wild side, and the wine has a distinct personality. Quite long. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep red. Sweet, full: milk chocolate, ripe cherry, vanilla, and cereal grain nose. Not wholly classical but attractive. Open-textured on the palate, with no lack of ripeness and plenty of poised fruit to enjoy, backed and given depth by ripe acidity and brisk tannins. The palate, in truth, is more classical than the nose suggested. Exuberant and very enjoyable wine, and a success for the year. | 90
