Stephen Brook: Closed nose. Quite rich; hint of boiled sweets, so rather confected. Tangy acidity follows, but this lacks harmony and style. Moderate length, yet fatiguing. 13
Jancis Robinson: Very dumb on the nose, but excitingly pungent on the palate. This should really shine eventually. Lovely acidity. Very good balance, even if this is a pretty youthful wine. Leafy, 'green' flavours. Very far from Pfalz = fat. 15.5
Alexander Scott: Recognisably the same style as the Haardter Burgergarten - similarly spritzig and dry. Fine, but not really individual. 15.5
