Simon Field: Deep colour, viscosity writ large. A rather unformed nose, not necessarily to its detriment, then sinewy and complex en bouche, undeveloped grapey fruit and medium intensity. 14.5
Richard Mayson: Open, ripe and expressive on the nose. Voluptuous in the mouth, with some taut tannin to support the fruit. Fine and appealing, but perhaps lacking flesh on the finish. Elegant, if a little lean. 15.5
Jancis Robinson: Purplish crimson. Quite positive nose with a refreshing edge. Not the most intense or most integrated. Acidity quite marked, doesn’t seem very integrated - added? Blackcurrant-pastille character. Not desperately Port-like! 11
