Gerard Basset: Medium young gold. Candied fruit, slightly waxy. Ripe but not heavy; citrus character in retro-olfaction. Medium-long finish. 15

Marcel Orford-Williams: Smells like Zind-Hum brecht, possibly Rangen. Very yellow, ripe. Great power and strength but not really drinkable now. Deep mineral extract. Drink 20 07 -14.18

Roy Richards: Noticeably more golden than most, with a heady, sweet nose. More Hock than Alsace, almost livery; okay foie gras. Some CO2 on the palate and lively acidity, but not of a piece yet. Demands respect. Zind-Hum brecht? 15
