Andrew Jefford | Bright mid-gold. Lemon and lime here, with a faint crème anglaise sweetness adding further allure. Wonderful aromatic refinement and restraint; you can hardly wait to sip after smelling this. Dry, delicate, nuanced, fresh, and entrancing wine, with a fine spectrum of fruit (apple and grape through to lemon, tangerine, and papaya), a stony undertow, little alcoholic wealth and singing, ripe acidity. Great Riesling from a fine site in pure style. I can imagine it as a wine from either Alsace or Germany, but let’s go for Germany in this instance, though it is “Rhine first”! 93
Stephan Reinhardt | This yellow-golden colored Riesling opens with an intensely aromatic yet pure and slightly flinty bouquet of ripe and stewed stone fruits and red apples intertwined with notes of honey, candied fruits as well as crushed stones. Silky, round, and elegant on the palate, this is a full-bodied, intense, and rich yet crystalline and salty dry and pretty concentrated Riesling, with some lactic and phenolic notes but above all a rather sour acidity, which makes the finish quite bulky. 2025–40. | 89
Anthony Rose | This is a pale golden hue, showing stone- fruit and slight savory notes initially and equally stone-fruit flavors, which are full, ripe, quite rich in concentration and nicely tangily dry on the finish. An appetizing dry Riesling that cries out for a meaty white fish such as monkfish or halibut. | 90
