Alison Buchanan: Black plum to a garnet rim, this has a wonderfully sweet, incongruous, almost PX nose, with dried fruit to the fore. The palate also shows dried fruits – very concentrated and intense. This is incredibly perfumed, opulent and ripe. There is also a savoury layer adding further complexity. Rather lovely. 17.5

Jancis Robinson: Red, hint of garnet. Dark, soft, warm, mature ‘faded rose petals’. Warm, ripe fruit and soft tannins, oak softening, delicious long finish. Excellent. 18

Jeremy Watson: Overripe fruit and tiring a little. Probably was really good for a while but lacks a bit of structure. 15.5
