Jancis Robinson: Garnet/tawny. Lovely, mature, integrated oak, a whiff of cigar box, almost perfumed. Good, ripe, mature; good fruit/oak balance; some tannin evident but doesn’t dominate. Nice, warm length – just a little ‘hot’ on the finish. 15

Jeremy Watson: Superb, firm colour for an ’82, with fulsome, fruity aromas. This is fabulous for a wine of its age and obviously has years still to go. 18
