BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Medium straw. Charming mineral Riesling nose, ripe apricots. Quite rich, rather soft and broad, lacks some zest; quite evolved, with a slight phenolic bitterness on the aftertaste. This has persistent but somewhat mean acidity. Rather dull, especially given its aromatic charm. Quite good length. 15.5

Simon Field: Milky gentle nose, hints of hedgerow and warm summer days. The wine is attractive without gravitas, approachable without real depth, but extremely well made without challenging the dictates of ambition. 16

Roy Richards: Charming, sweet spice, probably botrytised. Not sure that I would know it is Riesling. Good balance, but no élan. 15
