Andrew Jefford: Sound depth of gold; lemon glints. Close, confined: plenty of moist fruit, yet lacks a little pungent freshness. Nonetheless, aromatically attractive - you want to sip; lots of soft tangerine to draw you in. Vivid, full, ample fruit, with some sinew and minerality to lend the finish seriousness. Sound wine, if lacking in exquisite qualities. 14
Simon Larkin : A ppearance bright, mid-lemon. Aromas of whetstone and gently perfumed citrus, a suggestion of some spice and a rose quality. The palate shows a good sense of balance, well-presented apple fruit and minerality evident to the finish. Lacks dimension but soundly made. Good persistence and decent fruit quality. A good example, but little more. 14
Alexander Scott: There's that twist of grapefruit again - are we in the same area here? But there’s also more going on here, especially when we get to the palate. Seamless, sustained and mineral-laden (one can really sense the 'earth' here, as in the German expression Bodenton), this builds and lingers in the mouth. I think we are in the realms of very fine wine here. 18
