Andrew Jefford: Full yellow. Very rich, almost popcorn-like; luscious and enticing if perhaps not quite classic. On the palate, once again hugely vigorous fruit qualities, but not very dense - and the acidity seems overly prominent, oddly; has it been added? Possibly not, but it doesn’t seem as intimately bound to the fruit structure as in some of the other wines. 13
Simon Larkin : Comparatively golden in appearance, fairly viscous. The aromas are far from precise. The palate is pithy, grapefruit in style, with almost piercing acidity, too. Almost harsh in its own way, creating a disjointed character. Again a musky kind of character is discernible. A sound example, nothing beyond. 13
Alexander Scott: A fleeting hint of old wood. Something is not totally clean here, though it doesn't seem like a cork problem. Intense and packing a punch on the palate, but all to little ultimate effect. There certainly seems to be a good wine there, but judgment is deferred. 14
