Andrew Jefford: Palest of lemon-golds. Lovely subtlety and richness here, with delicate buttery touches underneath the seductive pineapple fruit. Faintly yogurty. Great depth and palate-searching power: long, multilayered and complete, with a gently mineral finish. You can’t fault the fruit intensity; all I am searching for is a little more textural seduction and honeysuckle charm. This finishes in a raw roar of unbridled fruit power. 16.5

Simon Larkin : Similar appearance. Even aromatically it is becoming difficult to distinguish these wines. Ripe, almost exotic fruit aromas here. The palate is tangy and honeyed, the fruit fairly clipped and short. It lacks real precision and definition. Where is the sense of harmony? Sadly lacking. Real lemon-zest citric aggression on the finish. 10.5

Alexander Scott: More intense than the Muller-Catoir Gimmelbinger Mandelgarten Kabinett, and more dry extract. This is almost painful in its intensity, but it doesn’t all add up to great class in the way that some of the others in this tasting do. Impressive nonetheless. 15.5
