Simon Field: The colour is maturing gracefully. The nose is subtle yet quite complex, with floral notes and liquorice to complement the evolving fruit. The palate sings the ripeness of the year, with toffee and plums in the ascendant. High spirited, very well balanced and still with the potential to develop. Faithful to the good points of the vintage. 16.5
Andrew Jefford: Very pale and evanescent compared with its peers. Light; a bit tired. A pleasant glass of Port but no real depth of fruit holding power. Drink up! 11
Richard Mayson: Mid-brick-red centre, browning rim. Perhaps a little hollow on the nose, with some youthful fruit but lacking power and depth. Soft, sweet aromas. Lovely now, with well-defined cherry-berry fruit and fine, structured tannins lingering on the finish. Drink now and over the next 20 years. 16.5
