Stephen Brook: Restrained nose, lime sherbet, has charm. Lean, fresh, invigorating, has vigour and tenacity; tangy citric fruitiness, but perfectly ripe, stylish and well balanced. Good length, 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Pale yellow-gold. Intriguing repertoire of scents here, with both a creaminess and an aniseed hint creeping in on the warm southern wind... Rather overfed with sugar on the palate, though, so that the overall impression is of a wine whose fruits are slightly struggling to keep up with their sugars. Lacks tautness and poise. 14
Jancis Robinson: Notably pale for a Pfalz wine. Straightforward, traditional Pfalz fruity aromas with less weight than one would expect for this combination of region and vintage. Lively, some minerality - not sure I would guess Pfalz blind. (Maybe Nahe?) Peppery character - almost Gruner Veltliner prickle. Certainly lively! Well done - a racy interpretation. Some astringence but fine. Drink 2006-12. 16
