Nicolas Belfrage: Sleeping Beauty of a wine-perfumes of rose and herb just hinted at. Concentrated but fine fruit on the palate, but struggling still to come through the phenolics and acids. Could be excellent in a few years, but difficult to tell now. Certainly a good example of the 1996 style. 17

Simon Larkin : Fairly subdued aromatics, the palate is comparatively soft, relatively expansive with vibrant earthy cherry fruit. This shows good intensity, almost velvety, with good length to the palate. There is little distinction about this style, and little to fault. Nonetheless, it remains a fairly straightforward example, with the potential for mid-term cellarage only. 14.5
