BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Medium-deep, some volatility on nose, firm acid and phenolics. Quite a full palate, cherry and plum with medium-rich fruit, a bit old style but very valid as such. Will last longer, drinking from two to 12 years. 16

Simon Larkin : Ripe oak-infused aromatics. Silky textual quality and vibrant deep morello cherry fruit. This is in a seductive modernist style, negated only by the drying tannins on the finish. There is an angularity that will prove problematic for anybody seeking fleshier Nebbiolo. Patience over the next four years will be rewarded with more sweet-cherry fruit coming to the fore. 15.5
