Michael Schuster: Mid-purple; dense, scented; gently minerally and persistent to smell; very nicely balanced, elegant Pommard, firm in acidity rather than tannin (which is light and refined), but no excess of either. Overall impression of fruit that is on the cusp of ripeness rather than really ripe, but again, no excess tannin or extract; long and minerally in the mouth, clear premier cru tenacity of flavor, and with good, light length. The vintage means that this doesn’t give the impression of a top premier cru, but premier cru it certainly is. 2014–24. 16
