Roy Richards Reductive – clears. This is rigorously old-fashioned. Calvinist in its approach to sensuality. Proper, but certainly shaming no bosom. Let’s settle for corsage. 14

Franco Ziliani: Sangiovese color, not much concentration but brilliant, fresh, ruby. Elegant nose with cherry and plum nose, with some dried flowers, spice, aromatic herbs, licorice and minerals. Fresh and lively on the palate, with a vibrant acidity and a long finish. Not so rich and opulent, but a good Brunello, old-style and well-made, maybe from Northern zone. Good potential for ageing. 16
