Nicolas Belfrage: Attractive mid-depth ruby, clean, ripe fruit—berry and cherry—coming through, inviting you in. Juicy and approachable on the palate, but with sufficient backbone to allow it to last well. Has elegance and knows where it’s going. 92
Bruno Besa: Ruby to garnet. A little closed on the nose, yet clean, with ripe red cherries. Round, slightly simple palate, yet clean and fairly long. Not showing a lot of complexity yet. 90
Andrew Jefford: Clear, deep black-red. Relatively simple cherry fruit and a puff of oak, though plenty of charm withal. Soft, sweet, and simple by comparison to many of its peers, but it’s still Sangiovese grown on the big hill and has some of the grain, length, and intrigue of its origins. 85
